Audiolog in the Public Safety Environment
Verint® Audiolog™ is a powerful call recording, playback, and archive solution for command and control centers, network operations centers, PSAPs, and other emergency communications centers. (Audiolog became part of the Verint public safety portfolio with the acquisition of Mercom™ in 2006.)
Audiolog helps these organizations perform more efficiently, reduce liability and risk, and comply with industry standards and regulations. This powerful Verint solution can record calls with related data in virtually any public safety situation. Instant recall and rapid, incident-based recording retrieval facilitate investigations and provide public safety professionals with the information they need to act more effectively. Remote, multi-channel live monitoring and playback let managers track events from their desktops. Flexible storage capabilities allow large volumes of calls and related data to be retained using industry-standard storage technologies for high reliability and lower costs. And Audiolog Interaction Quality provides powerful tools for monitoring, measuring, and improving performance.
With more than 2,000 public safety implementations around the globe, Audiolog is an ideal solution for emergency dispatch facilities, homeland security agencies, transportation network operations, correctional facilities — virtually any agency or organization charged with preserving public safety.
Multimedia Call and Screen Recording
Audiolog captures calls and related data on digital and analog telephones, trunked and conventional radio systems, telephone lines and trunks, IP phones, and PC screens. Audiolog can capture all calls in their entirety or record on demand, and it can tag interactions with CTI, ANI/ALI, CAD IDs, and other data to provide call takers and dispatchers with the information they need. Audiolog also records screen content without disrupting call handlers and with optimum use of network bandwidth and storage.
Robust Live Monitoring, Retrieval, and Playback
Audiolog can make recorded voice, screens, and data readily accessible to authorized staff for effective response and more productive investigations.
- Managers and other authorized personnel can monitor live or recorded interactions on multiple channels from their desktop PCs.
- Instant recall lets call takers and dispatchers quickly play back interactions to confirm details and review difficult-to-understand conversations.
- Recordings can be retrieved according to a wide variety of criteria: date and time, duration, channel, agent, caller ID, DNIS, ANI/ALI, date, time, call index number, CTI private data, and more.
- With full ANI/ALI integration, incident-based call retrieval, and the ability to play back multiple interactions from a single workstation, Audiolog makes it easier to reconstruct incidents and initiate effective follow-up action.
Audiolog in the Public Safety Environment
Audiolog Interaction Quality™ is easy-to-use software designed to measure, document, and improve performance. Audiolog Interaction Quality facilitates compliance with government regulations on call handling evaluation and helps increase efficiency and responsiveness.
Secure, Flexible, and Easy to Use
Audiolog is designed for use both as a standalone recorder/playback unit and as a specialized recording server within a networked environment. A single Audiolog server can provide acquisition, storage, and processing, along with the application layer.
Flexible storage capabilities enable Audiolog to retain large volumes of calls online and uploaded to network-based storage resources including NAS, SAN, and RAID. Contacts can be archived to DVD-RAM media; serial, parallel, and selective archiving modes are supported.
Audiolog is designed to secure contacts against unauthorized use. Each user may be assigned playback and monitoring rights by channel, agent, and talkgroup. Audiolog also provides a playback audit trail to help track unauthorized incidents and abuse.
Standards Based for Superior Reliability & Compliance
Built on an open architecture, Audiolog uses standard PC components, the Microsoft Windows platform, and the Microsoft SQL database, effectively eliminating the cost and complexity of proprietary systems and facilitating compliance with municipal and other government requirements to use industry standard equipment.
