The dynamic IP environment provides criminals and terrorists with a wide range of options for quick and anonymous communication. Verint IP-Probe passively connects to high-speed data networks and intercepts, filters, decodes, and delivers target traffic to Verint STAR-GATE, RELIANT, and VANTAGE.
IP-Probe is independent of other network elements and concealed from network subscribers ? designed to operate without impact to network performance or stability and to perform as a seamless addition to existing network infrastructures.
Non-Intrusive and Secure Passive Access
IP-Probe passively accesses the network and operates undetected by network subscribers and any other devices that may be connected to the network. Standard passive network access techniques, such as passive tap (splitter) devices or switch span (mirror) ports, help ensure that there is no outgoing traffic from the IP-Probe back to the network. Additionally, the probe employs security measures, such as encryption and minimizing the risk of target definitions being compromised by storing this information in memory.
Passive Solution for High-Speed Data Networks
IP-Probe supports a large number of network and application protocols, including access protocols, email, webmail, instant messaging, chat, web, file transfer, remote access, VoIP and video applications. IP-Probe can be used in various high-speed data networks, including:

One Solution for Converged Data and VoIP Networks
IP-Probe can collect both VoIP and data communications over a multi-purpose IP network. VoIP signaling protocols, such as SIP and H.323, are supported together with other data services to cover traffic of interest.
Outstanding Capacity with Virtually Zero Packet Loss
Available with a minimum of 10 LAN ports, IP-Probe can access several links concurrently, increasing the speed at which data is extracted without the need for extra network equipment. IP-Probe performs efficiently and reliably, processing up to 5-15 Gbps of traffic (depending on model), including packets as small as 64 bytes, with zero packet loss.
