STAR-GATE Lite is designed specifically to enable tier 2/3 service providers to comply with lawful interception requirements for voice and multimedia over IP networks. ETSI and CALEA compliant, this compact, low-capacity solution is especially well suited for addressing the FCC mandate to apply CALEA standards to broadband and VoIP.
Lawful Interception & Retained Data Administration, Access, and Delivery
STAR-GATE Lite accesses, administers, and delivers targeted communications originating on VoIP and broadband networks. With STAR-GATE Lite, operators can:
- Define targets, court orders, monitoring centers, and network elements.
- Receive intercepted data from network elements or the Verint IP-Probe.
- Convert messages into required format (T1.IAS for data or T1.678v2 for VoIP).
- Deliver the same intercepted communications to as many as five law enforcement agencies.

STAR-GATE Lite provides a mediation device and a Windows-based Global System Administration application on one server and comes in three configurations:
- STAR-GATE Lite for Broadband
- STAR-GATE Lite for VoIP
- STAR-GATE Lite for VoIP and Broadband (on two servers)
Active and Passive Solutions for VoIP and Broadband Networks
STAR-GATE Lite is designed for multiple network technologies and services and performs both active and passive lawful interception. Active interception is achieved by interfacing directly with the switch. Passive interception uses a Verint IP-Probe that provides scalable support for additional network elements, new services, and future network technologies.
